Nice! The thing I noticed is that your first sketch is from a more basic perspective. It looks like you used that as a reference for the rest of the sketches, which are from a top-down angle instead. The whole process section is just a really good example of sketching! You didn't worry about making each one perfect, and you made plenty of them to pin down the final look!

The final image is great too, of course. The saturated colors gives it a really cheerful energy-- the exact same energy you'd expect from a game where Master Chief and Vegeta can be in the same squad while shooting Darth Vader to death.

Great! The outline effect looks really great, and of course the character looks amazing!

Great! I can always appreciate it when people make their animations consistent with sheets like these!

Great shading and I really like the design of the background and mech! It's like a good balance between cartoony and realistic.

Nice! The background looks pretty and so does the chromatic aberration around the edges of the drawing. I like the detail you added to the character, especially their reflections and shading! The background's also great-- not distracting, but still pretty to look at.

Great! I like the depth-of-field effect you gave objects further away and the way you put the caverns into the terrain. And the lighting looks amazing, like a good painting, even though it's just cartoony cel-shading!

Great movie, and a great 3D replication of the scene. I mean, look at the highlights on the traffic light! How did you do that with Blender?

YakovlevArt responds:

Thanks! I have a video up on my channel right now on how I made the streetlight, it doesn't go into everything, but the bloom in eevee (another video I have) is a large part in how I get the glow

That's a pretty good Mothman, especially with his anatomy. The sun (or whatever that is) in the background is really awesome looking, and I love the little powerline he's sitting on.

frederikhornung responds:

Damn, thank ya! Glad you appreciate all the details

Nice! Who doesn't like a good mech? There's a lot of detail, especially in the decals on the mech and ship. The background is great too, it mixes well with those subjects. The world this is set in looks pretty interesting.

Great shading, and the way you drew the frog's form is amazing.

The power of absolute freedom!

Welcome to Tlemo / Tongue. I use this account to post my music and, as of late, art. I like cyberpunk and alien worlds, so you'll see plenty of both from me. Enjoy your day!
