I've been thinking about the websites I use, and how to become successful on the internet. Work seems to be the obvious answer. Broadly speaking, I think helping people with problems they encounter is a nice strategy. Relieving others of burdens. I don't think relying on popularity is, well, reliable. Your entire success depends on an algorithm putting you on display, and on people who bother to check you out. And so I don't see popularity as a huge factor in my online presence.

With that in mind, here's what I think my future is on the websites I use:

• DeviantArt's been getting icky lately. With the ongoing spam bots issue, and the recent attempt to ride on AI hype, DA hasn't been the best site for artists. I will continue to post on it (unless they do something extra bad), but I'll start focusing on other sites instead. I'm quite ready to abandon ship.

• Fur Affinity recently had a debacle with the owner's (unforturnate) death and a website hijack that followed. I did not hear of this until after it passed, but thankfully I don't believe I logged into the site during the hack. The management of the website is off, but to me it's nothing atrocious and so I'll stay.

• Weasyl remains a neat site to use.

• Itaku? Same as Weasyl. Just a nice site. Some good artists are there, too!

• SoFurry's future seems bright! I hear they're going to update the entire website. I'll stay around to witness it (hopefully) happen.

• Newgrounds is amazing. Not only does it host art, but also music, web games, and animations!!? And it treats its community good?? I will be staying.

• I'm a little confused with Tumblr. It is not a image host, it's full on social media. That means people on there also go through some of the same stuff Redditors and Twitter users have to. Will I use it as a blog? Nope! My takes aren't safe there, I feel. Will I use it as a status update? Maybe. Will I use it as an image host? For now.

• I do not think I will use ArtStation. When I was still using Unreal, ArtStation was kind of lumped in with it and so I decided to try it. I only remember it existsed while I was writing this. The only memorable features are ones that other websites have. My profile will no longer be used.

And here's my opinion on sites that I don't use, for the curious:

• I am never using Twitter (now X). I walked around a mine field. I am not going to take my curiosity there.

• I will never return to Reddit. Bad company, even worse community. I won't delete or censor my account, since I find that annoying and terrible, but I don't see the point in linking to my abandoned account.

• Inkbunny? No.

• e621? I... don't publish that kind of art. Regardless? No.

• Cara? Maybe... If a feature it has compels me (other than it using Glaze to protect your art), I'd be glad to know! But for now, it seems to be an Instagram clone, which even before the AI debacle didn't really pique my interest.

Hi there! To the five people that are reading this, you may have been wondering where I've been!

Firstly, I mentioned a hiatus a few months ago for "personal reasons". That personal reason was that I was moving! I won't say where from or where to, but we've been moving. All I'm going to say is that I'm happy to have moved where I am now. We aren't planning on staying for too long, though, so I'd prepare for another hiatus.

That being said, I'm back! Or I'll be back pretty soon. Depends on what your definition of "I'm back" is. I recently switched over to Linux for the first time, and I chose NixOS as my distro. It's been fun so far, but it also means I'm definitely going to have to overcome plenty of obstacles during work.

During the move, I wasn't able to keep a large setup for my desktop. Even now, it's kind of messy, but I now have my drawing tablet again! I'm going to start commissions back up soon, and I would really appreciate anyone sending me one! I am currently unemployed, and while I'm not desperate for money right now, it would be nice to have a source of income I enjoy.

On the other hand, I am also considering streaming! Right now on twitch.tv/tlemo, I've set up a channel where I may stream myself doing art, development, and gaming. If I decide Twitch isn't worth it, I may instead stream on youtube.com/@tlemo5859, but signs are pointing towards Twitch.

Hey! How are you? I don't like to leave all three of my followers in the dark, so I'm posting this. My family's trying to move to a new home, and I've been helping with work, so I haven't had time to post much. This is why it took me a while to finish my last raffle, and why I've really slowed down on posting lately.

It's very likely that a hiatus may come up. It probably won't be for too long, but starting from the moment my computer gets packed until it gets put back on another desk, I won't be able to make art or anything else I need the computer for.

CURRENT PROJECTS AND OTHER THINGS

Hello, it's Tlemo, and it's been a while since I've done much on this website. So what have I been doing? Well, just to be clear, yes, I have been working. Most of the work I've done is related to other things, like coding and drawing. It's just that I rarely take the time to work on music, meaning that I'm not really posting here that often. Anyways, lets begin.

Newgrounds

First of all, you might've noticed all the changing. Especially right now, since I switched from the Slipstream 012 logo to the new Synth Uprising logo. Before that, I switched to the Slipstream 012 logo. Why? Because I'm only going to do music on here. Flash isn't doing so well these days and the Adobe Flash program is being replaced with the Adobe Animator program (besides I can't pay for a periodically paid program). Even though Newgrounds allows for the publishing of HTML files, it's just miles easier to make a game in something like Unity than it would be to make an HTML game from scratch. Plus, while Newgrounds also allows for drawings to be published, you can just use DeviantArt. Animations? Youtube. But there is one thing you can do on Newgrounds: upload music. Newgrounds allows you to easily publish a song and protect it with copyright. Plus it's free, compared to Soundcloud, which obviously isn't. This is why this account will be used solely for the purpose of uploading my music.

Games

Games

NDWIT is canceled. The idea was stupid and it needed to be scrapped. I might try horror again sometime, but it won't be like ANDIWT. Instead, Project ZAGA is the new one. I can't give too much detail, but it's an outrun-styled game set place in an alternate timeline where the USSR has the upper hand, and someone needs to stop them. Other plans include a mythical-looking game. Only time will tell. I'm also learning how to use the Unreal engine, so there's a possibility that ZAGA will be on that.

Music

So this is probably one of the more important ones. I'm using new things to make music with; TyrellN6 is still going to be used, but I'm also now using a drum pack made especially for the Outrun genre. No more of those TRex sounds, which is the drum VST I used before. Now you will hear more familiar sounds, and more SFX as well. I also have a new synth, the Korg Monologue. It still needs a sound card (or an aux cord if you all are fine with me recording it through an amp), but so far It's going along nicely. Oh, and I also recovered an old bugle which I probably will never use since it's too loud, but the probability is fun.

Other Things

I don't stream so often on my Twitch or Mixer anymore since my computer can't handle all of the streaming and gameplay at once. Although, my XBOX can, so check that out.

My drawing skills are improved. Compared to the drawings I made on the website, I draw smoother, more vibrantly, and less geometric. Also, my characters are much more realistic, although still keep that same cartoon appearance and not veering more to semi-realism.

I now have a WorldAnvil account.

No, this is not a joke post. Right after this post, I will show myself as a furry (At least, in newgronds). Am I ashamed of it? No. I just hate it when these people do regular things, and get pushed into somewhere that it doesn't fit. There should be no reason somebody should cringe over a simple video that a furry made. If you want to be a furry, don't be afraid, do it. There are multiple reasons I will become a furry:

1. ANDIWT always had anthropomorhic animals inside of it, to those who weren't wondering.
2. I used to be a member of a similar fandom, the FNAF fandom.
3. I always dreamed about making the amazing content furries make during my childhood.
4. Drawing human-like animals is honestly more entertaining than drawing humans, personally.

Please, do NOT send me hate just because of this reason alone. Think about it first. Cringe complimations are cringe complimations, hence, need to include cringeworthy videos only. There may be one uncomfortably bizzare video, but it could be completley outnumbered by videos that are at least fine.
